In this month of love, KI got a surprise from LUNAFLY!


Not only the news that they will hold a showcase in Jakarta next March, but also the interesting interviews with LUNAFLY's members Yun, Teo and Sam. Let know them more ^ ^

Those who do not know LUNAFLY is a band that shelter under Nega Network and a label with the Brown Eyed Girls. The band consists of three people and debuted last September with the single 'How Nice Would It Be" and praise for the power of music and the power of their vocals. It's kinda rare to see all the band member and vocalist, isn't it?

LUNAFLY name itself came when Sam, Yun Teo and look at the sky at night after practice. 'Luna' means moon in Latin. They also noticed when looking at the moon, they experience different feelings and emotions. For example, feelings of sadness or loneliness at night or feeling enthusiastic and so on. LUNAFLY want to be a band, as a messenger from the moon, which can express different emotions and feelings of the moon with their music.

LUNAFLY is a new debut in September, but the song 'How Nice Would It Be' and 'Clear Day, Cloudy Day' prove their musical skills and vocals. Moreover, they also released an English version of the second song. "The reason we released our songs in English and Korean as well is that we want fans overseas that really understand what we sing. By doing so, we hope to convey the true emotion of our songs."

 
 Although formed to be a band, the members of LUNAFLY are also trained like another idol. Sam stated, "My official training period of approximately 6 months and filled with class singing and writing songs." While Teo and Yun undergo training period of about one year old and consists of singing and dancing classes. Are they going to dance at the next song? Look forward to the surprise ^ ^

In addition, perhaps not many know that Sam's English-Korean descent and speaks fluent English. Roughly is there any communication problem between the members given the differences in culture and age in between them?

Teo and Yun also praised the leader, "To be honest we never had great difficulty in terms of communication. Sam Korean language ability is much better than we thought, which was very helpful. And even though Sam is the leader, he is likely to listen to what we wanted to say and was very understanding. "

Sam, who was born in 1987 and recognizes that Teo Yun helped to understand something in Korean, which is a bit difficult. "We tend to talk a lot about how to do our job and help eliminate the problem."

 LUNAFLY revealed that the fans are the reason they can continue the music and released the song. They felt lucky to get support from all over the world and hoping to avenge everything continues to produce good music and look stunning.But what is most memorable gift have ever received by LUNAFLY's members? Sam shared, "For me, every gift is a surprise but there is one that stands out is a book that I received shortly after I debuted. It is a book about writing the song and the meaning of the music, which I think is very interesting. I love reading so the book is a memorable gift. "
 In addition to singing their own songs, LUNAFLY often do cove others singer's songs with their own style and upload it on their youtube account. Apparently LUNAFLY frequently visited various music charts to see what songs they can sing well. Usually need one or two days for them to practice. You can see an example in this video.Then how LUNAFLY members describe their music in one word?Sam replied "Catchy", Yun says "Meaningful" and Teo chose the word "Truthful" to describe their music.

The inspiration for their songs come from a variety of sources. Inspiration comes from chord patterns they hear in songs, comes from what they think of the past, from watching movies to reading books. There are many ways to get inspired their artistic explorations.

LUNAFLY did not deny that they wanted to make an album in English and actively promote it abroad, if they get the chance. Currently, LUNAFLY is preparing the next project that involves activities abroad. For the next project, they promised fans something different from their previous singles. "We did a lot of experimenting with our music to the next project, we hope the fans like it."
